i think the writer is mistaken on a number of issues!.

Though I think those are plausible excuses they never excuse all the bad mouthing the orginization did about the U.N. what it reminds me of is it's written in a way just like the Watchtower is when it has to get around some obvious statement the bible clearly makes. Like when they try to dance around why Paul said what he did about the "governing body" in Jeruselem at Galatains.

I have been having independent discussions with my Mom on certain doctrines. She is a staunch JW who has special pioneered, and pioneered off and on for over 30 years. She encouraged me to use outside sources such as the King James, NSV, INV, and other bibles other then the NWT. She also encouraged me to use Bible commentary and clearly said, "the society has never nor ever would stop people from doing independent research! They tell us to read the bible daily!". So in the last couple of emails I said I had heard "rumblings" that the WTS was going to cast a shadow on doing research or studying with groups. She has yet to reply one way or another, but the fact is my Mom is now going to have to eat crow. There is no way she can work around this one, and it's a shame.

i live in the southern united states.

i'm not too fond of the state i'm in but i'm within close driving distance of some very cool places.

the people in the south are awesome, very hospitable.

I really enjoy where I live. Houses aren't too pricey and it's CLEAN. Thats a hard thing to find in the city. As far as fun stuff to do it isn't New Orleans or anything but it's fun enough for what I like. The only thing that sucks is if your single. The dating scene is f'ng harsh here.

My Mom mentioned that at her DC the final speaker at the end of the talk said, "and next year....well we'll just have to wait and see!..." She said she felt he meant we were at the time of the end!!! Ha so it could be that they are going to change the 607 date and try to make 2014 the year to look forward too!
